Flagler County School Board · District 2

For Students.
For Educators.
For Flagler.

A steady, principled voice for our classrooms — focused on the teachers who do the work and the students who depend on them.

Rob Wood
Why I'm running

Education is what our family does.

I've called Flagler County home for over fifteen years. My wife, Stacy, taught in Flagler classrooms for over eight years and now helps prepare the next generation of teachers. Both of our kids graduated from Flagler Schools.

I lead the leaders who manage program faculty at Western Governors University's School of Business. Education is what our family does, every day.

I'm running because I want this seat focused on what matters most: the students in our classrooms, the educators who teach them, and the outcomes of their shared effort. Whether your child is headed to college, a trade, the military, or straight into a career, our schools should prepare them well for what's next.

What I'll fight for

Three priorities. One focus: students.

Not a list of slogans. The three things I'll come back to in every meeting, every vote, every decision.

01

Students First

A board centered on student outcomes — academic, social, and life-readiness.

02

Support for Educators

Equip and develop the teachers and school leaders already in our classrooms. They are the work.

03

Workforce-Ready Graduates

Every Flagler student ready for what's next: college, trade, military, or career — including the jobs AI can't replace.

How I'll serve

Three principles I'll be held to.

The work matters. So does the way it gets done.

i

Relationships first

Preserve the relationship above the outcome of any meeting, vote, or conversation.

ii

Commitment over compliance

Do the right thing because it's right for students — not because the rules require it.

iii

Do no harm

Leave every person better than I found them.

The Wood family in Palm Coast
Meet the family

Stacy, Ethan, Courtney, and Rob.

Stacy and I have been raising our family in Palm Coast for over fifteen years. She taught in Flagler classrooms for over eight years and is now a Manager of Program Faculty at WGU's School of Education.

Our son Ethan, 25, and daughter Courtney, 23, both graduated from Flagler Schools and live and work locally. We have deep roots here and want to ensure Flagler continues to be strong in the future.

Get involved

Built for Flagler County.

For students. For educators. For Flagler.
